Dootchi: Chat with AI Chars
Is Dootchi: Chat with AI Chars free? Free with a Catch.
Pricing: Chat starts free but gets gated behind a "watch an ad to continue" wall after a while; a paid subscription (Play range $1.99-$99, exact tiers not published anywhere reachable) removes that gate, per the developer's own Terms confirming paid plans exist and several reviewers describing pressure to subscribe once the free ad option stops working. Optional paid features: Dootchi subscription (removes ad-wait gate) ($1.99 - $99 per item).
Dootchi lets you chat with AI companions for free at first, but chatting gets gated behind ads after a while, and several reviewers report the ad option breaking entirely, effectively blocking continued free use.

- Chat gets gated behind "watch an ad to continue" after a while, and some reviewers report the ad option eventually stops working entirely, blocking further use
- AI reportedly loses track of story details and characters over longer conversations
