Inkitt CandyJar: TV & Shorts
Is Inkitt CandyJar: TV & Shorts free? Not Really Free.
Pricing: Some short-form drama viewing is free, while subscriptions and coin packs unlock substantially more viewing. Optional paid features: CandyJar VIP Weekly ($9.99); Unlimited Weekly ($19.99); Unlimited Yearly ($69.99); Coin packs ($1.99–$49.99).
CandyJar offers short-form dramas, but the free path becomes impractically slow after the initial episodes: many reviewers report waiting about 19–24 hours for a single additional clip unless they pay. That severe cap makes the app's core viewing experience effectively paywalled for normal use.
- Reviewers consistently praise the acting and production quality.
- The app has a growing catalog of short dramas with real actors rather than AI-generated casts.
- Some users like that a limited number of episodes can be watched free before the paywall.
- Many reviewers say the free path slows to roughly one very short episode per day.
- Weekly subscription pricing is repeatedly described as too expensive.
- Users report coin, subscription, and repeated-charging problems.
- Some paid subscribers say episodes still remain locked or playback stops unexpectedly.
